Well, my new job has started (not really :-/) and I am liking it so far. I am saying "not really" because I probably won’t be doing the actual work for at least another two months since I have to go through the training first. The last two weeks I learned about Caché (a "very different" programming language) and Chronicles (again a "different" DBMS developed by my company, Epic; Note: not my as in I own it but as in I work there :D).
Starting with me were other forty-some people spread across the departments but surprisingly I was the only one with the title, Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Interface Analyst. The last few weeks I have been busy learning all the new material, getting used to the new environment and making new friends; which is why no blogging. I think for now my blogging activity will be slow because most of the job related stuff applies only to the Epic people and any such material will probably be better of in the company knowledge base. Hopefully once I have more time I will continue working on my PVR project and have some more useful stuff for the website.
Since I came back from Pakistan I haven’t been able to catch up on my sleep. Why? Because I brought a few movies from Pakistan and have been up watching those :). Anyways, I should go to sleep now…
